I doubt there will ever be an exhibition but i am toying with the idea of collecting the best of Whiteley material together once i'm finished and, like Caio and Monica, putting out a Blurb book. They have done such brilliant jobs with theirs.Harry Kenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05025438150292484846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065694115454910742.post-48115942913464308482012-03-01T12:09:49.884+11:002012-03-01T12:09:49.884+11:00Amazing work, Harry--this painting and the "B...Amazing work, Harry--this painting and the "Brett Whitely sees Red" series. I'm with Celeste; I'd be in line for the exhibit.

A redhead? I am esspecially interested in the relationship between their personality and their work.

Could one know Brett simply from looking at his work? Can we explain his work simply by knowing something of Brett? The two are obviously connected but not in an obvious way.

Thanks again for your encouragement, Celeste. I don't think this Whiteley series is to a lot of people's interest or taste, so your support is especially valuable to me.Harry Kenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05025438150292484846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065694115454910742.post-3438517719350023252012-03-01T04:56:14.289+11:002012-03-01T04:56:14.289+11:00Exploratory work, Laura, but thanks, youre very ki...Exploratory work, Laura, but thanks, youre very kind.Harry Kenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05025438150292484846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065694115454910742.post-72669253580499580662012-02-29T01:11:22.122+11:002012-02-29T01:11:22.122+11:00Another great post. It is a fantastic story and you are doing a wonderful job of bringing Whitely back to life. I sense he would approve of all the truthfulness of it...( if Whitely could express himself now, I bet he would say, "thanks for not candy-coating my story"!) I wonder why some artists are able to carry on and others are not. I suspect it has to do with the amount of emotional resilience one has in their "reserves". Of course, drugs are the worst culprit, for stealing so many gifted people. Great new painting "in the corner" and "shoved away" :(Celeste Berginhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06791708298070342301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3065694115454910742.post-51108991380055365422012-02-29T00:25:37.010+11:002012-02-29T00:25:37.010+11:00master workmaster worknouvelles couleurs - vienna atelierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05136437257114318426noreply@blogger.com
