Harry Kent art on Youtube

.

Last week i chanced across a Youtube clip of my work at www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieJXEk0zD2k !

Seems Dmitry Dreizin, using his immense musical knowledge, aptly set my work from Saatchi Online to music, and unbeknownst to me posted it on the web late last year.

Needless-to-say i was excited to discover it and am delighted with the showcase of my work at Saatchi that Dmitry has put together.

I did so enjoy my visit to the Saatchi Gallery, London, last year. The exhibition space was astonishing and the work on exhibition totally stunning.

So i'm delighted to even have this minor and distant artistic connection to the Saatchi name.

  1. Hello Harry,
What a great show! The music was perfect, though Brahms Lullaby would have been good, too.
It would have provided an amazing contrast to your always interesting, often challenging work.
The gallery photos were nice to see. Quite a place!
Have a great day tomorrow, you international Superstar!
    Sincerely,
    Gary.

    1. Thank you, the Mysterious Page. I really appreciate your kind comment. I sense an intensity in you too, Page railing back, Page turning the page.

  3. Great clip. I don't think you will remain minor and distant.

    1. You really know how to lift one's spirits, Hallie. Not that i seek fame. Just to be understood.

  4. Your self-portraits are extraordinary, Harry. Many of these I have never seen before. The music was very appropriate and the sequence was perfect.

From the examples I predict, as my sons would say, your thesis show will be 'Kick Ass!". Then you can go on to 'kick ass' without having to justify it to anyone!

Bask in the glory of your fifteen minutes of fame. And, yes, being understood is the goal.

    1. Thank you so much, Davida. You have been such a tower of support and encouragement - very much appreciated.

Sorry it's taken me a while to check my blog. I'm currently holidaying up in far north Queensland enjoying tropical sunshine but it hasn't been easy to get on line. Blue sunny skies day after day has been great while my home town in Tassie is having minus two centigrade temps.

      Hugs.

  6. Congratulations Harry! How wonderful to get the recognition. Indeed your work is extraordinary and to see them assembled together gives a greater impact about who you are as an artist. Your work goes beneath the surface revealing a complex psychological identity.

Do kick ass at your thesis show!

Hugs from sunny BC west coast (at least for now because the rain will return)

    1. Thanks so much, Elizabeth.

I've just safely returned home from the tropic north. Seems ive missed the worst of the cold and the golden wattle is out.

Even started on a new large painting today!

  7. I keep forgetting you are in the depths of winter down under. We are in the midst of the hottest summer in my memory with temps over 100 degrees F with dew points in the 70s F. It's like being in a steam room.

Enjoy your holiday in the warm so you can kick ass when you get home.
